About the Author

Coop was born and raised in northern Massachusetts, where he developed a deep appreciation of the arts, nature, culture, and (of course) pro sports.  He lived in Chicago for nearly 6 years, during which time he attended Lake Forest College.  (It was actually in Chicago that the original idea for Vagrants Crossing was born.  You can thank the economic crash in 2008 and Chicago's dreadful job market for this story!)  Coop attained gainful employment with an IT manufacturer in 2010, which whisked him down to beautiful Albuquerque, NM.  While it was there that he met his future wife, his stint in the 505 would be brief.  He moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2013. He still works in IT, but tries to find time to write, draw, game, hike, and cook whenever possible.

Coop currently lives in Portland, OR with his wife, Kelly, his son, Liam, and their dog, Maya.

About the Story

Vagrants Crossing is the result of a decade long day dream, drummed up in the mind of Cooper Prescott.  It was originally translated to print as a NaNoWriMo project.  Later, it was intended to be a full fledged comic book.  Finally, when Coop realized that it would take him 386 years to do a full comic, he decided that a hybrid approach would be best.  And thus, he decided on the infamous picture novel that you now know and love.
