Chapter 10

Hello, world.

Everybody in my house has been quite ill for the past few months. That includes my wife, my 3-year-old son, and the newest member of our family we welcomed in May. Luckily, none of us have tested positive for COVID, and these ailments appear to be your run-of-the-mill daycare plagues.

Chapter 9 & Year in Review

Last time, my goal was to make sure 12 months didn’t pass between chapter publications. This time, I am barely getting in before an entire calendar year has passed in between updates. But don’t say I didn’t post in 2021! This, right here, is proof to the contrary!

As for the past year, it’s been a difficult one. A real shitty one. 2021 was horrible in ways that I didn’t think were possible, and while I feel that as whole it was a better year than 2020, this year has certainly felt far more hopeless than any other. Will 2022 be any different? I suspect only in the sense that there will be new, undiscovered modes of torment for us all.

That being said, I should simply shut my mouth, count my lucky stars, and be thankful. I have a wonderful, happy family. I have a decent job and we have a nice home. I know that 2021 has been much worse for many people out there, so I’m not going to pretend that I don’t have it good.

But, it could always be better… right?

Chapter 8 has been released!

I DID IT! Came close, but I pulled it off! And let me tell you, it’s a load off my shoulders. What was this accomplishment, you ask? Well, I didn’t let a full year go by in between chapters!

Yes, the bar is low. But life is complicated, and 2020 has not been easy. I’m sure you’re aware. I have 20+ chapters written, but the drawings slow things down. Plus, I haven’t been penning new stuff ay the rate I was last year. In general, things have grinded to a halt. And yet, I fight on!
